Supporting Local Churches Through Community Fundraising – Charity Clay Pigeon Shoot, Shropshire

Aukera supported a charity clay pigeon shoot in Shropshire, with all proceeds directed to the fabric fund of two local churches. The event brought together local residents for a day that was as much about community connection as fundraising.

Organiser Nick said,

‘On behalf of the Bitterley with Middleton Parochial Church Council we really appreciated Aukera Energy supporting us at the Good Friday clay shoot raising money for the fabric fund and giving prizes to the winning teams. It was a very successful day with 20 teams of four people and raised over £8000. This has enabled us to start work at Bitterley church fixing the gutters and repairing any leaks in the roof. Your input was much appreciated.‘

For Aukera, supporting events like this is about recognising the value of heritage buildings near to where we have projects, helping them to sustain for future generations, particularly in rural areas where they often act as community hubs.
