We received approval for a 45MW solar farm with a 40MW embedded battery storage facility in South Ayrshire from the Scottish Government. The Loch Fergus scheme will add to our growing pipeline of projects in Scotland. The project is due to come on stream in 2026.
Loch Fergus has the capacity to provide the equivalent energy to power over 13,600 homes, preventing 19,000 tonnes of CO2 from release into the atmosphere.
We are improving habitats in the area and are planting an additional 1.4km of native hedgerows.
